Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the April 29, 2013 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee office:

Awarded Power Resource Coordinator Sharon Liebert with her thirty-five year service award. Commissioner Heminger thanked Sharon on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for her years of service. Sharon thanked the Commission and talked about the various things she has done in her time at the District.

Opened bids under bid document 13-10-D, supply and deliver three 2500 kVA padmount transformers. The apparent low bid of $89,634.00 was submitted by Ermo of Dyersburg, TN. The bids will be analyzed by staff prior to the District awarding a contract.

Opened bids under bid document 13-11-D, provide distribution dock crew services. The apparent low bid of $ 994,540.47 was submitted by Magnum Power of La Center, WA. The bids will be analyzed by staff prior to the District awarding a contract.

Approved execution of an interlocal agreement with Pend Oreille PUD for exchange of telecommunications services.

Authorized amendment No. 3 to Agreement for Engineering Services with HDR Engineering under contract 11-13-W for Phase IV of the Master Plan. Phase IV includes final drawings and construction specifications for the Wells Hatchery modernization bid document, work plan for rehabilitation and enhancement of existing ground water supply system and a work plan for the rehabilitation of the domestic water supply system. This change increases the contract $2,085,200 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $2,778,100.

Approved Professional Service Agreement with Cultural Resource Consultants, Inc. under RFQ 13-09-W, National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) Compliance Services. This agreement is not to exceed $75,000 and will conclude April 30, 2016.

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. May 6, 2013 at the District’s East Wenatchee office.
