Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the April 8, 2013 Commission meeting held at the District’s Bridgeport office:
Authorized Conservation Incentive Agreement with the Mansfield School District. Part of the Integrated Resource Plan calls for cost-effective conservation measures as part of the strategy for meeting Douglas County’s energy needs. The Mansfield School District, together with its contractor, has identified certain energy conservation measures. These conservation effort benefits District consumers by reducing the operating costs of local school buildings and by reducing the need to acquire additional energy resources in the future, therefore helping to achieve the District’s IRP goals. Approved change order No. 1 to contract 12-16-W, Expansion of Douglas Switchyard. Changes include replacement of the switchyard surface aggregate for proper insulation at a cost of $180,447, bringing the total not to exceed cost to $671,347. (13-056)
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 13-01-W, fire protection and service water system upgrades for the Wells Hydroelectric Project to meet code requirements and operational needs. (13-057)
Approved negotiation of professional service agreement, RFQ 13-09-W, National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) Compliance Services. (13-058)
Reminded those in attendance the April 15, 2013 Commission meeting has been canceled.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. April 22, 2013 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
