Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ron Skagen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the November 13, 2012 Commission meeting held at the District’s Bridgeport office:
Authorized an Agreement for Professional Service with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation. The District has a continuing need for on-call archaeological services regarding the management of archaeological and cultural resources for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The not-to-exceed amount of the contract is $30,000. (12-197)
Discussed the new 40-year license to operate the Wells Hydroelectric Project issued by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Staff is still reviewing the license order, but it appears to be consistent with expectations. The relicensing process took over seven years and cost around $10 million. The District has until December 8th to file comments.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. November 19, 2012 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
