Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ron Skagen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the November 5, 2012 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office:

Awarded contract 12-26-D, supply and deliver #2 and 1/0 EPR primary underground cable to the lowest responsive bidder Wesco. (12-191)

Approved a weatherization agreement with the Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council.  Douglas PUD has participated in the Washington State Department of Community Development’s Energy Matchmaker Low Income Weatherization Program through the Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council since 1988.  Douglas PUD will contribute $40,000 for 2013. The program utilizes matching funds to weatherize houses for low-income residents of Douglas County. (12-192)

Authorized amendment No. 2 to professional services agreement with APS Healthcare Northwest, Inc.  This will extend the agreement until December 31, 2013. For several years Douglas PUD has offered the service of an Employee Assistance Program to all employees and their immediate families.  The cost to Douglas PUD is $3.49 per employee per month. Approved the renewal of Non-owned Aircraft Liability insurance with Starr Aviation for the premium of $7,510. (12-194)

Authorized negotiation of professional service agreement under RFQ 12-23-W, solicitation of licensed professional land survey firms.  (12-195)

Approved a call for bids under bid document 12-28-W, modify and construct Sturgeon rearing facility at the Wells Fish Hatchery. The sturgeon rearing facility will be necessary to comply with the new FERC license for the Wells Project, the Aquatic Settlement Agreement White Sturgeon Management Plan, and the Wells Dam 401 Water Quality Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Ecology. The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. TUESDAY, November 13, 2012 at the District’s Bridgeport office.
