Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ron Skagen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the September 17, 2012 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Opened bids under bid document 12-12-W, 2012-2013 heavy equipment services. The apparent low bid of $626,720 was submitted by Tunnel Hill Granite of Chelan. The bids will be analyzed by staff prior to the District awarding a contract.
No bids were received for bid document 12-21-W, 2012-2013 hatchery well and pump maintenance.
Awarded General Foreman Loren Grode with his twenty-five year service award. Commissioner Skagen thanked Loren on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for his years of service. Loren thanked the Commission and talked about a variety of experiences while at Douglas PUD. He gave credit for Douglas PUD’s success to his co-workers.
Awarded Service Lineman Scott Ellis with his twenty year service award. Commissioner Skagen thanked Scott on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for his years of service. Scott thanked the Commission and talked a little about repairing damage caused by the fires in the northern part of Douglas County.
Approved change order No. 1 to contract 12-09-D, design and build concrete communications building. Changes include removal of an old concrete foundation discovered during excavation and additional fill material and compaction. This change order increases the contract amount by $286, bringing the total not-to-exceed limit to $161,436.
Authorized request for qualifications 12-23-W, solicitation of licensed professional land survey firms.
Approved purchase and sale agreement and boundary line adjustment with Pateros Trading Company, Inc. This property is adjacent to the Wells Project, is currently leased by the Pateros Trading Company and is not needed for operation of the Wells Project.
Adopted an amendment and restatement of the District’s deferred compensation plan and trust in order to maintain compliance with IRS regulations.
