Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ron Skagen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the August 13, 2012 Commission meeting held at the District’s Bridgeport office:
Awarded Journeyman Mechanic Tim Harvey with his twenty year service award. Commissioner Skagen thanked Tim on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for his many years of service. Tim thanked the Commission and recounted the different activities he has done while employed at Douglas PUD.
Awarded Tucker Sno-Cat Corporation contract 12-13-D, supply and deliver one snow cat with trailer. Tucker Sno-Cat was the lowest responsive bidder. (12-134)
Awarded Aztech Electric, Inc. contract 12-13-D, construct Rapids Switchyard expansion. Aztech Electric was the lowest responsive bidder. (12-135)
Authorized the sole source purchase of 40,000 passive integrated transponder (PIT) tags from Biomark Inc. The Habitat Conservation Plan Monitoring and Evaluation Implementation Plan calls for tagging hatchery and wild juvenile salmonids with PIT tags to meet several objectives required in the HCP and covered by the existing hatchery permits. PIT tags manufactured by Biomark are the only tags that work with the detection systems installed at Columbia River dams. The cost is not to exceed $109,620. (12-136)
Rescheduled the September 3, 2012 Commission Meeting to Tuesday, September 4, 2012 due to the Labor Day Holiday. It will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the East Wenatchee Headquarters Building.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. August 20, 2012 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
