Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ron Skagen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the July 16, 2012 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Authorized disposal of obsolete wind tower and related equipment. These items are non-usable and of no value to the District. (12-119)
Approved change order No. 1 to contract 12-10-W, Peninsula Park swim area improvements. Changes include concrete rather than asphalt path, rock landscaping instead of grass and power line relocation. This change order will increase the not to exceed limit $4,631 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $70,431. (12-120)
Authorized Land Use Permit extension of term for use of the Wells Reservoir area. Termination dates of the District issued Land Use Permits was tied to the expiration of the original license of the Wells Project, May 31, 2012. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has issued an annual license for the Wells Project. This resolution extends the term of the Land Use Permits to coincide with the term of the new annual license. (1-121)
Approved request for qualifications 12-17-W, consulting engineering services for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. In order to maintain proper maintenance of the Wells Hydroelectric Project, the District needs to retain a consulting engineer for providing immediate and continuous engineering counsel. (12-122)
