Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ron Skagen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the June 11, 2012 Commission meeting held at the District’s Bridgeport office:
Conducted the second hearing regarding a proposed rate adjustment. Two customers attended the hearing and provided comments. The Commission declared the hearing closed.
Authorized rate amendments to the Customer Service Policies. This will increase rates six percent on all electric rate schedule pricing effective July 1, 2012 and an additional six percent January 1, 2013. (12-095)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 12-14-D, Construct Douglas to Rapids 230 kV Transmission Line. This 13 mile line will be placed in the existing transmission corridor running from Douglas Switchyard over Badger Mountain down to Rapids Switchyard to provide more capacity for the distribution system in the southern part of Douglas County. Authorized renewal of contract 11-10-D, Traffic Control Flagging with TJE, LLC. for an additional year as allowed in the contract. The contract will not exceed $250,000. (12-097)
Approved Northwest Power Pool’s general services agreement individual work order. The one-year work order will fund a Market Assessment and Coordination Initiative with a funding commitment of $12,500. (12-098)
Authorized rescinding resolution No. 12-078, memorandum of agreement with enXco Development Corporation regarding pumped storage site evaluation. enXco was not prepared to execute the agreement. (12-099)
Reminded those present the June 18th Commission Meeting has been canceled.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. June 25, 2012 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
