Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the October 17, 2011 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Authorized purchase of property insurance coverage with Starr Technical Risks Agency, Inc and Zurich American Insurance Company. (11-137)
Approved memorandum of understanding with the Colville confederated Tribes for curatorial services. The Colville Confederated Tribes History Department has provided processing, curation, operation and maintenance of the District’s Collection since 1983. This resolution would establish annual payments not to exceed $25,920 for the duration of the new Wells license. (11-138)
Authorized a request for proposals, 11-19-W, vendor services related to sturgeon for Wells Reservoir population supplementation. (11-139)
Approved the sole source purchase of 15,000 passive integrated transponder (PIT) tags from Biomark Inc. The Habitat Conservation Plan calls for tagging wild juvenile salmonids with PIT tags to meet HCP objectives. PIT tags manufactured by Biomark are the only tags that work with the detection systems installed at Columbia River dams. The cost is not to exceed $38,905. (11-140)
