Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ron Skagen, Jim Davis, and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the August 15, 2011 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Awarded Lineman Foreman Tim Beck, with his twenty-year service award. Commissioner Skagen thanked Tim on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for his many years of service. Tim thanked the Commission and joked about 20 more years on the line crew.
Authorized execution of intent to grant easement and easement with Lowell Rainey. Necessary for the Douglas-Rapids 230 kV transmission corridor. (11-108)
Approved addendum No. 1 to bid document 11-06-W, Wells Reservoir boat launch improvements. This addendum clarifies items in the bid document. (11-109)
Authorized the sole source purchase of 20,000 passive integrated transponder (PIT) tags from Biomark Inc. The Habitat Conservation Plan calls for tagging juvenile Wells Hatchery steelhead with PIT tags to monitor and evaluate the program. PIT tags manufactured by Biomark are the only tags that work with the detection systems installed at Columbia River dams. The cost is not to exceed $51,400. (11-110)
