Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ron Skagen, Jim Davis, and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the August 1, 2011 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Awarded Administrative Assistant – Operations Kim LaVallie, with her twenty-year service award. Commissioner Skagen thanked Kim on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for her many years of service. Kim thanked the Commission. “I am very thankful for this job. I enjoy the work I do and the people I work with. This is a great place to work,” said Kim.
Approved an interlocal agreement for a Community Alert Siren with Douglas County Fire District No. 5 (Mansfiled). The siren will use such a small amount of electricity, metering equipment is not practical. The agreement sets a cost of $40 per year for electrical service to the siren and terminates June 30, 2021. Authorizes execution of right-of-way easement with John R. Perretta and Susan L. Perretta. Necessary for the Douglas-Rapids 230 kV transmission corridor. (11-101)
Approved amendment No. 2 to professional service agreement with Eaton Corporation for RFP 10-16-W, Arc Flash Hazard Analysis. The amendment extends the agreement to September 30, 2011 to allow time for onsite training. (11-102)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 11-06-W, Wells Reservoir boat launch improvements. These improvements are included in the 2007 Recreation Action Plan. (11-103)
Canceled the September 19, 2011 Commission Meeting due to Commission conflicts.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. August 8, 2011 at the District’s Bridgeport office.
