Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ron Skagen, Jim Davis, and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the June 27, 2011 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Opened bid under bid document 11-10-D, traffic control flagging. The bid will be analyzed prior to an award recommendation.
Awarded Service Lineman Marty McCrary, with his twenty-year service award. Commissioner Skagen thanked Marty on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for his many years of service. Marty thanked the Commission and said he enjoys working here. He also expressed that our customers appreciate the way business is done at Douglas PUD, and that makes his job on the front line of customer interactions easier.
Heard a summary of last week’s bid opening for bid document 11-09-D, asphalt installation and repair.
Awarded contract 11-09-D, asphalt installation and repair to Central Washington Asphalt. With a bid price of $112,190, CWA was the lowest responsive bidder. (11-081)
Authorized renewal of contract 10-11-D, material testing services with Hammond Collier Wade Livingston for an additional year as allowed in the contract. (11-082)
Approved revising Schedule 6 of the Electric Distribution System Customer Service Policies to meet the changing business needs of the Douglas County Community Network. (11-083)
Authorized renewal with AEGIS Insurance Services for Western Interconnected Electric Systems blackout/brownout liability insurance coverage. The renewal premium of $4,305 reflects a decrease of $215 from last year. (11-084)
Approved submittal of Performance Audit Annual Report as required by RCW 43.09.470. (11-085)
Authorized Northwest Power Pool Budget for fiscal year 2011-2012. Douglas PUD’s share of the 2011-2012 budget is $78,333. (11-086)
Approved amendment No. 1 to professional service agreement with Anchor QEA, LLC. This amendment will increase the not-to-exceed limit from $65,000 to $100,000 to fund the third and final year of the current contract. (11-087)
Authorized professional service agreement with SSP innovations LLC under contract 11-01-D to provide, install, configure, and implement an integrated software package that will support the mapping and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) needs of the District. This contract is not-to-exceed $700,000 and will conclude July, 31, 2013. (11-088)
Reminded those in attendance, the next meeting has been rescheduled to July 5th due to the holiday. It will be held at 2pm in the East Wenatchee office.
