Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the May 23, 2011 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office:

Opened bids under bid document 11-07-D, East Wenatchee warehouse fire sprinkler system replacement. The bids will be analyzed prior to an award recommendation.

Amended the interlocal cooperative agreement for water utility billing and collection service with Greater Bar Water District.   The amendment sets water utility billing and collection service compensation. (11-065)

Approved a call for bunds under bid document 11-09-D, asphalt installation and repair. Certain distribution work requires the repair or installation of asphalt damaged during construction or maintenance of underground and overhead circuits. (11-066)

Authorized an interlocal master agreement for cooperative action for shared services between Douglas, Grant and Chelan Public Utility Districts. The agreement sets parameters for the sharing of services.  (11-067)

Approved amendment No. 1 to professional service agreement with Eaton Corporation for RFP 10-16-W, Arc Flash Hazard Analysis. The amendment extends the agreement to July 31, 2011 to allow time for onsite training. (11-068)

Approved amendment No. 3 to the Interlocal Cooperative Agreement for Probabilistic Seismic Analyses Coordination and Independent Peer Review.  Grant, Chelan and Douglas PUDs are conducting these Analyses for their hydroelectric Projects.  This amendment will extend the term to May 30, 2012 with no increase to the not-to-exceed limit.      (11-069)

Awarded contract 11-03-W, trash rake storage frame modifications for the Wells Hydroelectric Project to Triad Industrial Contractors.  With a bid price of $100,744, Triad was the lowest responsive bidder.  (11-070)

Reminded those in attendance the May 30 Commission meeting has been rescheduled to May 31, due to the upcoming Memorial Day holiday.

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. May 31, 2011 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
