Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the November 29, 2010 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Approved amendment of video transport agreement with KSKN-TV, KING-TV, KONG-TV and KREM-TV. This amendment will extend the agreement to December 31, 2013. These agreements are required by most networks to receive and transport the signal over the Douglas County Community Network. (10-220)
Authorized the sole source purchase of 20,000 passive integrated transponder (PIT) tags from Biomark Inc. The Habitat Conservation Plan calls for tagging juvenile Wells Hatchery steelhead with PIT tags to monitor and evaluate the program. PIT tags manufactured by Biomark are the only tags that work with the detection systems installed at Columbia River dams. The cost is not to exceed $53,400. (10-221)
Approved an agreement for professional services with Bioanalysts, Inc., for the services of Dr. Tracy Hillman as Chairperson of the Wells Habitat Conservation Plan Tributary Committee. This three-year contract is not to exceed $100,000. (10-222)
Approved an agreement with Avista Corporation for purchase and sale of power during 2011. (10-223)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. December 6, 2010 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
