Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the May 3, 2010 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Awarded Potelco, Inc. of Sumner, contract 10-02-D, distribution dock crew. Potelco, with a bid price of $1,657,119 was the lowest responsive bidder. (10-088)
Awarded Basin Tree Service and Pest Control of Ephrata, contract 10-03-D, distribution tree trimming. Basin, with a bid price of 413,616, was the lowest responsive bidder. (10-089)
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 10-15-D, construct South Nile Substation expansion. The expansion of South Nile Substation will allow for a second transmission line to provide an alternate feed. (10-090)
Approved video transport agreement with Olympusat. These agreements are required by most networks to receive and transport the signal over the Douglas County Community Network. (10-091)
Authorized change order No. 16 to contract 06-41-W, generator rebuild for unit refurbishment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Changes include linkage components refurbishment and testing. This change order will increase the not to exceed limit $7,830 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $153,953,361. (10-092)
Approved change order No. 1 to contract 09-18-W, turbine pit and transformer drain modifications for Wells Hydroelectric Project. Changes include design improvements for better operation of system. This change order will increase the not to exceed limit $17,490 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $1,537,890. (10-093)
Changed the time and location of the May 10, 2010 Commission Meeting. The meeting will be held at 2 p.m. in East Wenatchee.
Canceled the regular meeting scheduled for May 24, 2010 due to other Commissioner commitments.
Rescheduled the May 31, 2010 Commission Meeting to June 1, 2010 due to the forthcoming Memorial Day Holiday. That meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the East Wenatchee Headquarters Building.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. May 10, 2010 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
