Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the March 1, 2010 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:

Authorized a call for bids under bid document 10-04-D, pole testing and treating. This is an ongoing program to assure the Distribution System’s wood poles remain in safe, serviceable condition.  (10-033)

Approved execution of Interlocal Utility Construction Agreement with Washington State Department of Transportation.  The agreement establishes the responsibilities of each party for work at the intersection of State Route 28 and US Highway 2/97. (10-034)

Declared the nine displays at Wells Visitor Center surplus and authorized transfer of ownership to City of Pateros to be used in the Pateros Museum. (10-035)

Authorized amending Schedule 6 of Electric Distribution System Customer Service Policies.  This amendment will reduce wholesale bandwidth fees.(10-036)

Approved second amended and restated Interconnection and Service Agreement with Intergate.Columbia I LLC, a State of Washington LLC controlled by Sabey Corporation.  This amendment will divide the contract into three separate contracts applicable to each lot. (10-037)

Authorized  engagement letter with Cordell, Neher & Company for third party administration services for several District deferred compensation plans. (10-038)

Approved acceptance and final payment under contract 07-33-W, 2008-2009 grounds maintenance.  All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (10-039)

Authorized change order No. 1 to contract 09-20-W, pollution abatement system upgrade for the Methow Spring Chinook Hatchery.  Changes include access to venturi and revised layout of adult holding ponds to ensure freeze-proof system. This change order will increase the not to exceed limit $11,148 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $144,148. (10-040)

Approved amendment No. 2 to agreement for professional services with Tetra Tech EC, Inc. for environmental impact statement preparation and permitting services for the Withrow Wind project. This will increase the not to exceed limit $127,000 and extend the contract to March 31, 2012. (10-041)

Authorized call for bids under bid document 10-06-W, Wells Hatchery adult steelhead holding pond modifications.  Improvement to the fish trapping facilities and steelhead broodstock holding facilities are needed to facilitate handling of ESA-listed fish and improve over-all fish handling and husbandry. (10-042)

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. March 8, 2010 at Bridgeport City Hall.
