Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the February 16, 2010 Commission meeting held at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Approved acceptance of work and final payment to Power Com, Inc. for contract 09-01-D, communication contract crews. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (10-025)
Authorized change order No. 1 to contract 09-27-D, Bridgeport Office Improvements. Changes include removal and replacement of ceiling material to accommodate foam insulation and communication conduit. The changes will increase the contract $5,418 for a total not to exceed limit of $219,418. (10-026)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 10-02-D, distribution dock crew. Necessary to assist District crews with overhead and underground projects, the bid calls for distribution and communications crews. The agreement contains a provision for two, one-year extensions. (10-027)
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 10-05-D, supply EPR underground primary cable. There are a number of District projects that require this conductor. (10-028)
Approved change order No. 2 to contract 09-21-W, Badger Mountain communications building. Changes include installation of battery racks and batteries and some electrical wiring. This will increase the not to exceed limit $10,868 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $244,600. (10-029)
Approved an agreement for professional services with Long View Associates to provide guidance and perspective regarding ongoing aquatic relicensing studies. This contract will not exceed $50,000 and will expire December 31, 2011. (10-030)
Authorized cooperative agreement for Withrow Avian Monitoring Study with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. This agreement will provide for the implementation of a 5-year monitoring study to determine project indirect effects on greater sage-grouse and other breeding birds. (10-031)
Approved addendum No. 5 under 1996 Operating and Services Agreement dated September 23, 1996 with Okanogan County PUD. Communication upgrades are necessary for the District to provide the services Okanogan PUD is requesting. This addendum establishes the upgrade work plan and ongoing operations and maintenance responsibilities. (10-032)
Reminded those in attendance the February 22, 2010 Commission Meeting has been canceled.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. March 1, 2010 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
