Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the February 1, 2010 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Approved renewing contract 09-03-D, Plow Installation of Underground Primary Cable or Conduit to Cascade Cable Constructors, Inc. for a second year. This resolution also accepts the work completed in the first year and authorizes payment. (10-016)
Authorizes an agreement for professional services for physiology and fish release services with LGL Limited, a Sole Source. LGL Limited will assist with the physiological monitoring and release of up to 82,000 juvenile Chinook as required for the 2010 survival verification study. The contract is not to exceed $96,000. Approved right of access agreement with Central Washington University. The university will install real-time Global Positioning System electronics on the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The information will be useful in assessing potential seismic events as required as part of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission dam safety analysis. (10-018)
Adopted revised District Land Use Policy. The Land Use Policy will be submitted to FERC as part of the final Wells License Application. This resolution cleans up inconsistencies and redundant statements created during previous revisions. (10-019)
Rescheduled the February 15, 2010 Commission Meeting to February 16, 2010 due to the forthcoming President’s Day Holiday. That meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the East Wenatchee Headquarters Building.
Canceled the regular meeting scheduled for February 22, 2010 due to other Commissioner commitments.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. February 8, 2010 at the Bridgeport City Hall (due to construction at the District’s Bridgeport office).
