Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the December 21, 2009 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Conducted a public hearing for questions regarding Local Utility District No. 1 of Douglas County for the Rio Vista Street Assessment Roll. No one being present with questions regarding the assessment and having received no other form of comment, the Commission declared the hearing closed. The Assessment Roll for 2010 is $24.00 per lot.
Presented Executive Assistant Colleen Huber with her twenty-year service award. Commissioner Heminger thanked Colleen on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for her many years of service. Colleen thanked the Commission and said it had been a great 20 years. She is proud to work for Douglas PUD. “It has been a pleasure,” said Colleen.
Awarded Halme Builders, Inc. of Davenport, contract 09-27-D, Bridgeport office improvements. Halme, with a bid price of $214,000, including the 4 alternates, was the lowest responsive bidder. (09-293)
Approved the option to extend contract 06-42-W, hatchery well and pump maintenance for the Wells Hydroelectric Project an additional year. There is no change of rate schedule or not to exceed limit. (09-294)
Approved a change order No. 1 to contract 09-21-W, Badger Mountain communications building. Changes include weather proof security door hardware and fence repairs. This will increase the not to exceed limit $932 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $233,732. (09-295)
Approved change order No. 3 to contract 07-41-W, Twisp River fish trap weir modifications. The change include modifications to the hydraulic circuit to limit runtime of pump. This change order will increase the not to exceed limit $1,435 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $394,900. (9-296)
Approved change order No. 13 to contract 06-41-W, generator rebuild for unit refurbishment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Changes include revision of technical specifications on three sets of generator windings and an additional five year warranty on those windings. This change order will extend time for completion of work on the first unit 60 days with no increase in contract amount. (09-297)
Authorized Certificate of Deposit transactions with Sterling Savings Bank. This authorization allows the District to accept Certificate of Deposit bids from Sterling Savings Bank. (09-298)
Approved the renewal of professional services agreement with APS Healthcare Northwest, Inc. For several years Douglas PUD has offered the service of an Employee Assistance Program to all employees and their immediate families. The cost to Douglas PUD is $3.49 per employee per month. (09-299)
