Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the November 23, 2009 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:

Authorized acceptance and final payment to Altec Industries, Inc. under contract 09-04-D, supply and install a one-man bucket unit with service body. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (09-254)

Approved signal transport agreement with a television network.  These agreements are required by most networks to receive and transport the signal over the Douglas County Community Network. (09-255)

Authorized acceptance and final payment to Whitebird Inc. under contract 08-46-W, headquarters building interiors 2008.  All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (09-256)

Approved addendum No. 1 to bid document 09-26-W, 2010-2011 grounds maintenance.  The addendum clarifies the two bidding schedules. (09-257)

Authorizes amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Agreement with Hatch Acres Corporation.  The amendment will extend the contract term three years to December 31, 2012. (09-258)

Approved agreement for professional services with Pacific Appraisal Associates, PLLC with regard to professional appraisal services.   (09-259)

Authorized settlement agreement with Bert Stennes, Mike Stennes and Donna Stennes.  The settlement allows access to project lands and requires removal of landscape activity. (09-260)

Approved land use permit No. 58-A-02 for Wells Tract 58.  This permit will allow continued use of existing landscape, boat dock and irrigation pump on District property. (09-261)

Established the assessment roll of Local Utility District (LUD) No. 1 of Douglas County, the Rio Vista Street Lighting System.  Manager Bill Dobbins advised the Commission the assessment will be $24.00 per lot.  The Public Hearing date is set for December 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the East Wenatchee Headquarters.  Any lot owner in the LUD area wishing to comment on the assessment may do so in writing prior to that time or by attending the hearing in person.  (09-262)

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. November 30, 2009 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
