Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the October 19, 2009 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Authorized the sole source purchase of passive integrated transponder (PIT) tags from Biomark Inc. Each year the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW), on behalf of the District to meet Habitat Conservation Plan obligations, tags wild and hatchery fish to monitor a number of statistics. The PIT tags manufactured by Biomark are the only tags that work with the detection systems installed at Columbia River dams. The District will purchase 15,000 PIT tags for $37,365. (09-233)
Approved the annual renewal for Directors and Officers insurance and Employment Practices Liability Insurance. (09-234)
Authorized Resolution of the Commission of Douglas PUD amending the plan and system specified by Resolution No. 05-165. This amends approved expenditures of the 2005 Bond proceeds to include installation of communications buildings at Badger Mountain Communications Site. (09-235)
Approved revision of the Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan outlines the District’s Mission, Value and Planning statements. (09-236)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. October 26, 2009 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
