Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the July 27, 2009 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Presented Wildlife Biologist Jim McGee with his thirty-year service award. Commissioner Heminger thanked Jim on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for his many years of service. Jim thanked the Commission and said it had been a good place to work.
Presented Office Engineer Chris Curtis with his twenty-year service award. Commissioner Heminger thanked Chris on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for his many years of service. Chris thanked the Commission and said the last twenty years had flown by.
Authorized acceptance of all work performed by Beckstead Electric, Inc. for the second year of contract 07-15-D, communication splicing crew. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (09-166)
Approved change order No. 2 to contract 08-48-D, 13th Street storage yard with Pipkin Construction. Changes include removal and resetting fencing and irrigation modifications. This change order will increase the not to exceed limit $8,012.54 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $276,853.34. (09-167)
Authorized negotiation of agreement for professional services for Rapids Switchyard Commissioning with Power Testing and Energization, Inc. This consultant will provide on-site management in addition to testing all substations equipment, verifying connections and preparing organized and well maintained testing documentation. (09-168)
Authorized video transport agreements with a television network. These agreements are required by most networks to receive and transport the signal over the Douglas County Community Network. (09-169)
Authorized call for bids under bid document 09-21-W, Badger Mountain communications building. (09-170)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. August 3, 2009 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
