Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the July 13, 2009 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:

Authorized execution of an agreement for architectural services for Phase II 13th Street Storage Yard and Bridgeport Office Interior Revisions with The DOH Associates, P.S.  This contract is not to exceed $133,000. (09-158)

Approved change order No. 5 to contract 06-41-W, generator rebuild for unit refurbishment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project.  Changes include fabrication and delivery of a new lifting device for handling generator rotors. This change order will increase the not to exceed limit $113,200 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $153,562,924. (09-159)

Authorized change order No. 6 to contract 06-41-W, generator rebuild for unit refurbishment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project.  Changes include fabrication and delivery of a new lifting pin for the generator lifting device. This change order will increase the not to exceed limit $5,300 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $153,568,224. (09-160)

Approved award of contract 09-18W, turbine pit and transformer drain modifications for the Wells Hydroelectric Project to the low bidder Triad Mechanical, Inc. of Portland OR. The contract amount is $1,520,400. (09-161)

Authorized call for bids under bid document 09-20-W, pollution abatement system upgrade for the Methow Spring Chinook Hatchery. (09-162)

Approved rescinding land use permit 627-01 and authorized approval of land use permit 627D-01 for Wells Tract 627.  This permit will allow installation of a community dock, mitigation plantings, residential landscape, irrigation system and an existing irrigation intake on District property.  (09-163)

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. July 20, 2009 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
