Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the June 1, 2009 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:

Opened bids under bid document 09-17-W, thrust bearing load cell system for Wells Hydroelectric Project.  The apparent low bidder is Kingsbury, Inc. of Hatboro, PA with a bid of $681,331. The bids will be evaluated prior to an award recommendation.

Authorized change order No. 4 to Contract 08-46-W, Headquarters Building Interiors 2008. This change includes installation of a communications closet, and conduits, cable tray system and revisions in the electrical system at a cost of $24,720 and brings the total for the contract to $564,961. Approved interlocal cooperation agreement with Chelan PUD with regard to installation of PIT-tag detection system.  A PIT-tag detection system in the Rocky Reach Juvenile Fish Bypass will be beneficial to necessary Chinook and steelhead survival studies. (09-124)

Authorized appraisal services and fees with regard to H.R. 146, Bureau of Land Management Property Conveyance.  (09-125)

Approved addendum No. 4 under 1996 Operating and Services Agreement dated September 23, 1996 with Okanogan County PUD.  As Okanogan PUD’s power scheduling agent, this will allow the District to participate in the development of Okanogan PUD’s power sales contract with Bonneville Power Administration.  (09-126)

Declared miscellaneous items of personal property as surplus to the needs of the District, and authorized the sale of those materials by public auction.  The sale, handled by the Northwest Auction Service, is scheduled for Saturday, June 13 at the Chelan County Fairgrounds. (09-127)

Canceled the regular meeting scheduled for June 15, 2009 due to other Commissioner commitments. 

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. June 8, 2009 at the District’s Bridgeport office.
