Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the May 26, 2009 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Presented Congressman Doc Hastings an appreciation plaque for support on the District’s long-term effort to obtain congressional permission to purchase certain Bureau of Land Management lands associated with the Wells Project.
Heard the results of the May 18, 2009 bid opening for bid document 09-05-D, 4x4 backhoe and trailer. One bid of $82,302 was received from Central Machinery Sales, Inc. of Moses Lake.
Awarded contract 09-05-D, 4x4 backhoe and trailer to the low bidder, Central Machinery Sales, Inc. of Moses Lake. The contract amount is $82,302. (09-117)
Approved amendment No. 2 to the agreement for professional services with the University of Iowa for development of a total dissolved gas model for Wells Dam. The Washington State Department of Ecology has requested additional compliance scenario modeling. This amendment will increase the not to exceed limit $30,574 and extend the contract period to December 31, 2009. (09-118)
Authorized acceptance and final payment to Garco Construction, Inc. working under contract 07-29-W, warehouse and fabrication shop for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (09-119)
Approved Task Order No. 7 services for the master consulting services agreement with MWH Americas, Inc. with regard to the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The services in Task Order No. 7 include factory shop inspections as required during the course of contract 06-41-W at a not to exceed limit of $620,000. (09-120)
Authorized agreement for professional services agreement with Anchor QEA, LLC for Aquatic Settlement Work Group Chair. This three year agreement will not exceed $65,000. (09-121)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 09-18-W, turbine pit and transformer drain modifications for Wells Hydroelectric Project. Necessary as part of the District’s Spill Prevention and Countermeasures Plan. (09-122)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. June 1, 2009 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
