Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the April 27, 2009 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:

Opened bids to supply the District with a 6X6 Digger Derrick Line Truck under Bid Document 09-07-D. The apparent low bidder is Altec Industries of Dixon, California with a bid of $305,855. The bids will be analyzed prior to an award recommendation.

Opened bids to supply the District with a Warehouse Fire Line Extension for the Wells Project warehouse and fabrication shop under Bid Document 09-02-W. The apparent low bidder is Hurst Construction LLC of East Wenatchee, Washington with a bid of $160,000. The bids will be analyzed prior to an award recommendation.

Opened bids to perform Fish Turbine Intake Gate Rehabilitation for the Wells Hydroelectric Project under Bid Document 09-14-W. The apparent low bidder is Knight Construction and Supply, Inc. of Deer Park, Washington with a bid of $77,400. The bids will be analyzed prior to an award recommendation.

Authorized Change Order No. 1 to Contract 08-32-D with TJE LLC for Traffic Control Flagging. The change order adds $125,000 to the contract bringing the total authorized amount to $396,740. (09-101)

Authorized award of Contract 09-06-D to supply the District with a 4X4 55-foot Material Handling Bucket Truck to the low Bidder, Altec Industries of Dixon, California. The contract amount is $241,663. (09-102)

Authorized award of Contract 09-12-D for EPR Underground Cable to the low bidder, WESCO Distribution, Inc. of Portland, Oregon. The total contract amount is not to exceed $601,995.24. (09-103)

Authorized award of Contract 09-09-W for Headquarters Addition Boiler Replacement to the low bidder, Peet Plumbing of Wenatchee, Washington. The total contract amount is not to exceed $26,180. (09-104)

Adopted an Identity Theft Prevention Procedure to comply with the Federal Trade Commission Red Flags Rule. (09-105)

Approved, solely for purposes of Section 147(F) of Internal Revenue Code of 1986, a Plan of Finance Including the Issuance of Bonds for environmental enhancement bonds to be issued by Chelan PUD for projects wholly or partly located in Douglas County. This action is to provide “host approval” necessary for Chelan PUD’s compliance with IRS regulations. (09-105)
