Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the April 20, 2009 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee office:
Authorized renewal of Contract 08-14-D, Distribution Tree Trimming, for an additional one-year period. This cost of this second year of the contract is not to exceed $600,000.
Authorized a call for bids under Bid Document 09-05-D for a replacement backhoe and trailer as called for in the approved Distribution System capital budget.
Authorized change order No. 3 to Contract 08-46-W, Headquarters Building Interiors 2008. This change covers cabinetry, wiring and plumbing revisions in the District’s lunch room at a cost of $16,585 and brings the total for the contract to $540,241.
Authorized a new Professional Services Agreement with Anchor QEA, LLC regarding preparation of revised genetic management plans for District-owned hatcheries. Costs associated with these services are authorized up to $100,000.
Authorized a Renewable Energy Certificate Purchase and Sale Agreement with Iberdrola Renewables, Inc. related to the District’s share of wind power generated at the Nine Canyon Wind Project for 2008 and 2009. The estimated revenue from this contract is $138,000.
Authorized 2009 salary and title adjustments for the District’s salaried employees as previously approved in the Wells Hydroelectric Project and Electric Distribution System budgets. The adjustments amount to less than two tenths of one percent (.18%) of the $134,880,470 Wells Hydroelectric Project and Electric Distribution System total expenditure budgets. The adjustments are effective May 1, 2009. The last general salary adjustment took effect May 1, 2008.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. April 27, 2009 at the District’s East Wenatchee office.
