Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the March 23, 2009 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:

Authorized acceptance and final payment for steel poles received from FWT, Inc. for the South Nile to Rapids 115 kV transmission line under Contract 08-44-D. The total cost for this contract is $538,983 plus sales tax. (09-66)

Authorized award of Contract 09-04-D for a one-man bucket unit with service body to low bidder Altec Industries, Inc. The winning bid is $61,271. (09-67)

Authorized an interlocal services agreement with the City of East Wenatchee for the purpose of making underground utility changes required by a City project to improve the Canyon A drainage system. The District’s cost shall not exceed $20,640 plus sales tax and work is scheduled to be completed by August 2009. (09-68)

Authorized a repayment agreement related to a line of credit for Northwest Open Access Network. The District is a member with a 5.74% share of NoaNet. NoaNet’s bank requires member guarantees to acquire the $1.5 million line of credit necessary to complete current year projects. (09-69)

Authorized advertisement for Architectural and Engineering Services. The District requires architectural and engineering support services to complete East Wenatchee storage yard and Bridgeport office building projects. (09-70)

Authorized advertisement for consulting engineering services for planning and design of energy storage projects. This consultant will be used to investigate various potential energy storage projects for use in the District’s electric system. (09-71)

Authorized partial release of electric distribution system easements in the area of Twin W Orchards. A re-plat of the area has identified new utility easement corridors.(09-72)

Authorized a land use permit to Owen Jorgensen for the purpose of farming District-owned land in the Withrow area. (09-75)
