Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the January 19, 2009 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:

Approved change order No. 2 to contract 08-33-D, exterior improvements to Bridgeport Office Building with Hale and Long General Contractors. This change order includes installation of elastomeric thermal insulation on the interior rain gutter of the shop increasing the not to exceed limit $2,945 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $175,566. Authorized a call for bids under bid document 09-01-D, communication contract crews. Necessary to assist District crews with overhead and underground communication projects and customer services. (09-10)

Approved amendment to Rate Schedule 6, Wholesale Communication Service, of the Electric Distribution System Customer Service Policies to meet the changing business needs of the District's Douglas County Community Network. (09-11)

Authorized partial release of retainage to Wright’s Lawn Service under contract 07-33-W, 2008-2009 grounds maintenance.  Wright’s Lawn Service has completed all requirements of their portion of the first year of the two year contract.  (09-12)

Approved partial release of retainage to Reeves Lawn and Spray Service, LLC under contract 07-33-W, 2008-2009 grounds maintenance.  Reeves Lawn and Spray Service has completed all requirements of their portion of the first year of the two year contract.  (09-13)

Authorized contract with WESCO for installation of powerhouse 480-V circuit breakers for Wells Fish Hatchery and emergency diesel generator feed. As authorized by RCW 54.04.080, if a responsive bid is not received, the commission may procure materials in the open market, have its own personnel perform the work or negotiate a contract for such work to be performed by others, in lieu of readvertising. Approved execution of an aquatic settlement agreement for relicensing of the Wells Project. This agreement is intended to resolve all remaining aquatic and water quality issues related to the issuance of a new operating license for the Wells Project. (09-15)

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. January 26, 2009 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
