Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the January 5, 2009 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:

Reorganized the Board of Commissioners electing T. James Davis as President, Lynn Heminger as Vice President/Assistant Secretary and Ronald E. Skagen as Secretary/Treasurer. Heminger will represent Douglas PUD for the Washington PUD Association while Skagen will be the representative to the Northwest Public Power Association. Davis will be the representative for the American Public Power Association. All three Commissioners serve as alternates to these three trade organizations.

Approved change order No. 1 to contract 08-26-D, overhead conductor South Nile to Rapids 115kV transmission line with HD Supply Utilities LTD. This change order changes the cost to reflect the actual amount of conductor delivered increasing the not to exceed limit $1,770.17 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $168,738.17. (09-01)

Authorized acceptance of materials received from HD Supply Utilities LTD working under 08-26-D, overhead conductor South Nile to Rapids 115kV transmission line. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (09-02)

Approved acceptance of materials received from Kuhlman Electric Corp.  working under contract 08-36-D, Rapids Switchyard voltage transformer and station service voltage transformer.  All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (09-03)

Authorized public records data access, disclosure and use agreement with Douglas County. This agreement allows Douglas PUD personnel to research current ownership of properties and location of easements in the County Auditor and Assessor database. The cost of accessing this information is not to exceed $1,000 per year. (09-04)

Approved purchase of certain real property associated with Wells Tracts 1103 from Lonnie and Molly Dixon. The property is necessary for the operation and maintenance of the Wells Hydroelectric Project. (09-05)

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. January 12, 2009 at the District’s Bridgeport office.
