Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the October 13, 2008 Commission meeting held at the District’s Bridgeport office:

Authorized video transport agreements with television networks.  These agreements are required by most networks to receive and transport the signal over the Douglas County Community Network.  (08-259)

Approved land use permit 825-02 for Wells Tract 825.  This permit will allow a community use dock and use of an existing access path and beach on District property. (08-260)

Authorized the annual renewal for public officials liability insurance with an employment practices liability endorsement. (08-261)

Opened bids under bid document 08-26-D, overhead conductor South Nile to Rapids 115kV transmission line. The apparent low bid was received from HD Supply Utilities LTD. (General Cable), of Portland. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.

Opened bids under bid document 08-43-D, composite insulators South Nile to Rapids 115kV transmission line. The apparent low bid was received from General Pacific, Inc. (Sediver) of Portland. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.

Opened bids under bid document 08-44-D, steel poles South Nile to Rapids 115kV transmission line. The apparent low bid was received from FWT Inc. of Fort Worth, TX. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.

Opened bids under bid document 08-45-D, wood poles South Nile to Rapids 115kV transmission line. The apparent low bid was received from Stella-Jones of Arlington, WA. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.

Opened bids under bid document 08-47-W, moving and storing transformer insulating oil. The apparent low bid was received from Waukesha Electric Systems, Inc. of Waukesha, WI. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. October 20, 2008 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
