Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the July 28, 2008 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Opened bids under bid document 08-38-D, underground primary conductor. The apparent low bid was received from WESCO Distribution, Inc. of Portland. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Authorized acceptance of all work performed by Moe Asphalt Patching and Seal Coating, Inc, for the second year of contract 06-21-D, asphalt & concrete repair and installation. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (08-192)
Declared the District’s 2001 Ford F-350 4x4 truck No. 129 surplus to the District’s needs and authorized sale to Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. The WDFW has agreed to pay $12,845 for the vehicle. (08-193)
Authorized change order No. 1 to contract 07-41-W, Twisp River fish trap weir modifications. The change will add a new fish trap box. This change order will increase the not to exceed limit $42,259 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $385,775. (08-194)
Approved amendment no. 2 to a letter agreement with Bonneville Power Administration extending transmission service. This will extend the term of the letter agreement until September 1,2008. The letter agreement is in place until a long-term replacement agreement is in place. (08-195)
Approved execution of master confirmation agreement with Integrys Energy Services, Inc. under the Western Systems Power Pool Agreement. This agreement authorizes the ability to exchange, sell or purchase capacity, energy or other services. (08-196)
Declared the Fort Okanogan Display at Wells Visitor Center surplus and authorized transfer of ownership to Washington State Parks to be used in the Fort Okanogan Interpretive Center. (08-197)
Provided notice of estimated excess compensation billings. State law requires employers to give notice, at a public meeting, of the employer’s estimate of the excess compensation billings. The District’s estimate of excess compensation billings is $261,000 for its Public Employees’ Retirement System Plan 1 employees who are expected to retire during the Collective Bargaining Agreement expiring on March 31, 2011. Approved execution of intent to grant easement and easement with Fredrick and Linda Hurst. (08-200)
Authorized land use permit 27F-02. This permit will allow a boat dock on District property.(08-201)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. August 4, 2008 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
