Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the July 21, 2008 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:

Awarded Galvanizers Inc. of West Fargo, ND contract 08-35-D, Rapids Switchyard tubular steel.  Galvanizers Inc. with a bid price of $148,079 was the only responsive bidder. (08-183)

Awarded Kuhlman Electric Corp of Versailles, KY contract 08-36-D, Rapids Switchyard voltage transformer and station service voltage transformer.  Kuhlman Electric, with a bid price of $139,250 was the only responsive bidder. (08-184)

Awarded General Pacific (Morpac) of Portland contract 08-37-D, Rapids Switchyard 115 kV disconnect switches.  General Pacific, with a bid price of $192,219 was the lowest responsive bidder. (08-185)

Authorized amendment No. 2 to the agreement for architectural services with The DOH Associates, P.S. Additional time is needed to complete a current project.  This resolution will extend the time of performance to July 31, 2009. (08-186)

Accepted bids received for Douglas PUD surplus items sold by Northwest Auction Service. The auction raised $5,479 for Douglas PUD. (08-187)

Approved assignment of contract 07-33-W, 2008-09 grounds maintenance contract to Reeves Lawn and Spray Service LLC. (08-188)

Authorized an agreement for professional services with LGL Limited for 2008 Adult Pacific Lamprey Telemetry Study.  The cost of this study is not to exceed $128,807. (08-189)

Approved flow measurement services for the Wells Hydroelectric Project from ASL AQFlow, Inc. In August ASL will perform flow measurement services, data analysis and produce flow test reports for two generating units at a cost not to exceed $30,020. (08-190)

Appointed compressed air medical directors for the Wells Hydroelectric Project.  The District is required to appoint one or more licensed physicians trained in the physical requirements and the medical aspects of compressed air work and the treatment of decompression illness.  (08-191)

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. July 28, 2008 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
