Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the May 27, 2008 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Heard a report on the bid opening for bid document 08-18-W, warehouse pipe boring and jacking. The apparent low bid was received from Northwest Boring Company Inc. of Woodinville. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Authorized a change order No. 4 to contract 06-20-D with T.J.E. L.L.C. for traffic control flagging. The increased amount of work along State, County and City roadways necessitates a $60,000 increase in the contract bringing the not to exceed limit for the second year to $302,000. (08-123)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 08-29-D, asphalt installation and repair. Certain distribution work requires the repair or installation of asphalt damaged during construction or maintenance of underground and overhead circuits. (08-124)
Authorized opening of Rural Economic Development Fund accounts for 2007-2008. (08-125)
Approved engagement letter with Davis, Arneil Law Firm LLP. (08-126)
Authorized change order No.2 to contract 07-11-W, landscape and other improvements - Wells Hydroelectric Project. The change will add more lighting bollards around the Brewster Trail. This change order will increase the not to exceed limit $3,443 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $296,055. (08-127)
Authorized call for bids under 08-19-W, relay test set for Wells Hydroelectric Project. A relay test set is used to calibrate and verify proper operation of protective relays. (08-128)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 08-30-W, installation of powerhouse 480-V circuit breakers for Wells Fish Hatchery and emergency diesel generator feed. (08-129)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. June 2, 2008 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
