Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the April 21, 2008 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Opened bids submitted for bid document 08-03-D, distribution electrical and communication dock crew(s). The apparent low bid was received from Henkles and McCoy Inc. of Portland. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Opened bid submitted for bid document 08-14-D, distribution tree trimming. The only bid was received from Asplundh Tree Experts Inc. of Kenmore, WA. The bid will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Authorized execution of facility use agreement with the US Bureau of Reclamation and Greater Wenatchee Irrigation District. This will allow the District to overbuild the existing Bureau of Reclamation transmission easements and power line to connect the South Nile Substation to the Rock Island area. (08-92)
Approved the purchase of six District vehicles from Addis Dodge. As authorized by RCW 54.04.080, if a responsive bid is not received, the commission may procure materials in the open market, have its own personnel perform the work or negotiate a contract for such work to be performed by others, in lieu of readvertising. Approved execution of intent to grant easement and easement with Ackerman Construction, Inc. (08-95)
Authorized first amended and restated Interconnection and Service Agreement with InterGate.Columbia I LLC controlled by Sabey Corporation. The contract is to supply up to 50 megawatts of electricity to Sabey’s site near the Pangborn Memorial Airport. (08-96)
Approved agreement to terminate security coordination agreement with Pacific Northwest Security Coordinator. The Western Electricity Coordinating Council has assumed the reliability coordinator responsibilities. (08-97)
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 08-18-W, warehouse pipe boring and jacking. A 24” steel casing must be bored under the embankment for the fire protection system. (08-98)
Established the new administrative seasonal position of temporary Land Management Technician. (08-99)
Canceled the regular meeting scheduled for May 19, 2008.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. April 28, 2008 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
