Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the March 31, 2008 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Opened bid submitted for bid document 08-04-D, crew facility office furnishings. The only bid was received from Chandler Business Interiors of East Wenatchee. The bid will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Opened bids submitted for bid document 08-08-D, EPR underground primary cable. The apparent low bid was received from HD Supply Utilities Limited of Portland. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Authorized addendum No. 1 to bid document 08-09-D, Withrow Water Works Improvements Project. The pre-bid conference with potential bidders revealed necessary revisions and clarifications to the bid document. (08-69)
Approved change order No. 1 to contract 07-15-D, communication splicing crew with Beckstead Electric, Inc. This change order increases the not to exceed limit $60,000. The increase is necessary due to increased demand for connections to the Douglas County Community Network. (08-70)
Authorized a change order No. 3 to contract 06-20-D with T.J.E. L.L.C. for traffic control flagging. The increased amount of work along State, County and City roadways necessitates a $160,000 increase in the contract bringing the not to exceed limit for the second year to $242,000. (08-71)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 08-06-D, snowcat with trailer. The snowcat will be used for maintenance of the District’s distribution and transmission electrical system. (08-72)
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 08-15-D, pole testing and treating. This is an ongoing program to assure the Distribution System’s wood poles remain in safe, serviceable condition. The bid document calls for testing and treating approximately 1,700 poles. (08-73)
Approved amendment No. 1 to an agreement for professional services with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation regarding a cultural resources survey. This amendment will include the new rate schedule submitted by the Colville Tribes. (08-74)
Authorized amendment No. 2 to an agreement for professional services with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation regarding a traditional cultural properties survey. This amendment will include the new rate schedule submitted by the Colville Tribes. (08-75)
Approved amendment No. 1 to agreement for professional services to reflect a name change from Western Shore Heritage Services Inc. to Cultural Resource Consultants, Inc. (08-76)
Authorized agreement for professional services with Aegix Consulting. This firm will review the District’s North American Reliability Corporation (NERC) compliance program in preparation for the upcoming audits. (08-77)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. April 7, 2008 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
