Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the March 17, 2008 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Heard public comment on the proposed 8th Street SE Transmission Easement.
Presented Property Supervisor Gordon Brett with his twenty-year service award. Commissioner Heminger thanked Gordon on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for his many years of service. Gordon thanked the Commission.
Authorized public records data access, disclosure and use agreement with Douglas County. This agreement allows Douglas PUD personnel to research current ownership of properties and location of easements in the County Auditor and Assessor database. The cost of accessing this information is not to exceed $1,000 per year. (08-55)
Approved a rate adjustment regarding agreement for professional services with Erlandsen and Associated, Inc. This agreement allows for the fee schedule to be negotiated annually to reflect any increase in the cost of doing business. (08-56)
Authorized a Coho Mitigation agreement with the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation. This agreement fulfills the District’s coho salmon obligation under the Wells Project Habitat Conservation Plan. (08-57)
Approved a change in compensation regarding independent contractor’s agreement with Dennis Rohr. (08-58)
Authorized execution of intent to grant easement and easement with Lawrence and Ruby Junger. (08-59)
Authorized execution of intent to grant easement and easement with Michael and Judieth Scott. (08-60)
Authorized execution of intent to grant easement and easement with the City of Rock Island. (08-61)
Approved the funding request of North Central Educational Service District (NCESD) in the amount of $42,529 for the 2007-2008 school year. In effect since 1988, agreements between Douglas PUD and NCESD have been established to provide educational curriculum for every kindergarten through ninth grade student in Douglas County. Classes pertain to electrical generation, electric distribution, conservation, safety and wise use of water resources. (08-62)
