Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the December 31, 2007 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:

Approved a change order No. 2 to contract 06-15-D, Distribution tree trimming with Asplundh Tree Expert Co. This change order increases the not to exceed limit $100,000.  The increase is necessary to trim several vital areas which will allow safe working conditions for District crews. (07-374)

Authorized change order No. 1 to contract 06-21-D asphalt and concrete repair and installation with Moe Asphalt and Sealcoating. The change adds a site preparation price to the contract. (07-375)

Approved change order No. 5 to contract 07-14-D, construction of Pangborn Substation. Changes include increased materials and work necessary to complete job.  This change order will increase the not to exceed limit $23,311 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $2,768,957. (07-376)

Extended the District’s Bridgeport Headquarters Janitorial Services Agreement with Bar-Shell Services.  This resolution will extend the terms of the contract through December 31, 2008. (07-377)

Authorized amendment No. 1 to an agreement for professional services with LGL Limited for evaluation of summer chinook passage times at the Wells Hydroelectric Project.  The amendment will extend the contract two months to February 29, 2008 to allow adequate time for report writing.  (07-378)

Approved a change in the District’s travel reimbursement policy to reflect changes in the Internal Revenue Service approved mileage rate for 2008. (07-379)

Approved use of Voluntary Employees’ Beneficiary Association (VEBA) Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) for employees retiring in 2008.  This allows the deposit of a percentage of the employee’s accrued personal leave at retirement into the HRA-VEBA. (07-380)

Renewed the legal services agreement with the Law Firm of Jeffers, Danielson, Sonn and Aylward, P.S. This renewal extends the agreement until December 31, 2008. (07-381)

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. January 7, 2008 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
