Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the November 13, 2007 Commission meeting held at the Bridgeport office:

Approved a weatherization agreement with the Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council.  Douglas PUD has participated in the Washington State Department of Community Development’s Energy Matchmaker Low Income Weatherization Program through the Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council since 1988.  Douglas PUD will contribute $40,000 for 2008. The program utilizes matching funds to weatherize houses for low-income residents of Douglas County. (07-325)

Awarded Myers Power Products, Inc of Corona, CA contract 07-38-W, Wells Dam 480-V circuit breakers. Myers Power Products, with a bid price of $99,958, was the only responsive bidder. (07-326)

Authorized a billing rate adjustment to Agreement for Professional Services V-Bar, LLC. (07-327)

Approved application to Avista Corporation for 75 MW transmission capacity on Chelan Falls-Stratford Line to serve the proposed Withrow Wind Project. (07-328)

Authorized execution of Purchase and Sale Agreement, Quit Claim Deed and Easement to complete the settlement agreement between Antoine Creek Vineyards, LLC (Formerly Haskell) and the District.  (07-329)

Authorized the renewal of Aircraft Non-ownership Liability Coverage with Arch Insurance for the premium of $7,510. (07-330)

Scheduled a public hearing to consider adoption of 2007 Update to the Integrated Resource Planning Study. The hearing will be December 3, 2007 at 200 p.m. at the East Wenatchee Headquarters.  The Integrated Resource Plan evaluates the full range of energy alternatives, including generation capacity, power purchases, energy conservation, energy efficiency and renewable energy resources in order to provide adequate and reliable service to customers at the lowest system cost.
