Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the June 4, 2007 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Conducted a public hearing for proposed changes to the Electrical Line Extension Policy. After hearing some public comment, the Commission declared the hearing closed. Staff will consider the public comment and bring a recommendation to the Board at a later date.
Heard public comment from Genext regarding their use of the Douglas County Community Network.
Authorized the acceptance of all work by Moe Asphalt and Sealcoating, Inc. for the first year under contract 06-21-D, asphalt and concrete repair and installation. All work under the contract has been completed, inspected and determined to meet the bid specifications. Douglas PUD will opt to extend the contract an additional year. (07-171)
Approved amendment No. 1 to Agreement for Architectural Services with USKH Inc. This will increase the not to exceed limit by $200,000 to allow compensation for engineering and architectural services during construction of the warehouse and fabrication shop at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Rejected bids under bid document 07-21-W. The bid exceeded the engineer’s estimate by more than the amount allowable under state law. Authorized a call for bids under bid document 07-29-W, warehouse and fabrication shop for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. (07-173)
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 07-23-W, two-way radio communication system upgrade for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. (07-174)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. June 11, 2007 at the District’s Bridgeport office building.
