Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the May 29, 2007 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Opened bids submitted for bid document 07-06-D, 4X4 material handling 55 foot bucket truck. The apparent low bid was received from Altec Industries, Inc. of Dixon, CA. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Heard a presentation from Local Tel representatives regarding their use of the Douglas County Community Network.
Awarded North Sky Communications of Vancouver, WA, contract 07-22-D, Eastmont Communication Building to Douglas Switchyard and Briarwood Subdivision fiber backbone installation. North Sky, with a bid price of $96,925, was the lowest responsive bidder. (07-162)
Authorized negotiation of an agreement for professional services with Sigma Six Solutions. The firm will provide on-site management in addition to testing all substation equipment, verifying connections and preparing organized and well maintained testing documentation for the Pangborn Substation. Approved a request for proposals, 07-28-D, IPTV video headend. This process will determine the best solution to meet the needs of the District. (07-164)
Established a hearing for proposed pole attachment rate formula and resulting rate. Information can be found on the District’s website at www.douglaspud.org.The Public Hearing date is set for June 18, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the East Wenatchee Headquarters building. Anyone wishing to comment on the changes may do so in writing prior to that time or by attending the hearing in person. (07-165)
Approved acceptance of a subdivision power facilities agreement for New Horizon Orchards Subdivision. The developer, New Horizon Orchards, has paid the contribution in aid of construction and provided a cash deposit in the total amount of $66,885. (07-166)

The Public Hearing date is set for July 23, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the East Wenatchee Headquarters building.
