Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the May 7, 2007 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Opened bids submitted for bid document 07-16-D, Pangborn Substation control and relay panels. The apparent low bid was received from Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Inc. of Pullman. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Opened bid submitted for bid document 07-21-W, warehouse and fabrication shop for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The bid received from Blodgett Construction Associates Inc. of Malaga will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Awarded Altec Industries, Inc. of Dixon, CA, contract 07-04-D, three small one man bucket units with service bodies. Altec Industries, with a bid price of $170,699.51, was the lowest responsive bidder. (07-140)
Authorized the purchase of video analyzers from Ineoquest, a sole source. Identical monitoring platforms are necessary to analyze the video quality on the Douglas County Community Network. (07-141)
Authorized an agreement for professional services with Oakwood Consulting, Inc. for assessment of total dissolved gas (TDG) at Wells Dam. The scope of services under this agreement is for the independent peer review of TDG activities at the Wells Hydroelectric Project at a cost not to exceed $50,000. (07-142)
Approved an interlocal cooperative agreement for probabilistic seismic hazard analyses coordination. Grant, Chelan and Douglas PUDs are conducting Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analyses for their hydroelectric Projects. This agreement will share the costs and coordination of the independent peer review. (07-143)
Authorized wind testing lease and option agreements with three property owners covering a total of 1,337.25 acres. (07-144-146)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. May 14, 2007 at the District’s Bridgeport office building.
