Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the April 30, 2007 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:

Authorized change order No. 1 to contract 07-01-D, furnish 144 count fiber optic transmission cable. The contractor shipped an additional 605 feet of cable, as allowed by the contract. This change order will increase the not to exceed limit $944.95 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $188,372.95. (07-134)

Authorized acceptance of 144 count fiber optic transmission cable received from General Pacific under bid document 07-01-D.  Staff has inspected and found all of the delivered materials to be in full compliance with the bid document. (07-135)

Awarded Henkels and McCoy, Inc. of Portland, contract 07-14-D, construction of Pangborn Substation. Henkels and McCoy, with a bid price of $2,578,192, was the lowest responsive bidder. (07-136)

Awarded Beckstead Electric, Inc. of Wenatchee, contract 07-15-D, communication splicing crew. Beckstead Electric, with a bid price of $146,000, was the lowest responsive bidder. (07-137)

Authorized amendment to task order No. 1 services for 2007 for the master consulting services agreement with MWH Americas, Inc. with regard to the Wells Hydroelectric Project. This will increase the not to exceed limit by $100,000 to allow compensation for additional services required due to the extended bidding process associated with four addenda for bid document 06-41-W. Approved addendum No. 1 to bid document 07-21-W, warehouse and fabrication shop for the Wells Hydroelectric Project.  The pre-bid conference with potential bidders revealed necessary revisions and clarifications to the bid document. (07-139)

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. May 7, 2007 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters building.
