Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the April 9, 2007 Commission meeting held at the Bridgeport office building:

Authorized acceptance of a subdivision power facilities agreement Ashwood Estates Subdivision. The developer, Eric Potter, has paid the contribution in aid of construction and provided a secured funds account in the total amount of $35,950. (07-102)

Approved the extension of contract with Doble Engineering for an additional year. Douglas PUD has used Doble test equipment since 1981.  Doble offers use of specialized test equipment and technical support. The contract is not to exceed $21,670. (07-103)

Awarded Irrigation Technology and Control Inc. of East Wenatchee, contract 07-13-W, Methow Spring Chinook Hatchery Well No. 5 relocation.  Irrigation Technology and Control, with a bid price of $153,539, was the only responsive bidder. (07-104)

Authorized a call for bids under bid bid document 07-21-W, warehouse and fabrication shop for the Wells Hydroelectric Project.  (07-105)

Approved a sole source purchase of passive integrated transponder (PIT) tags from Biomark, Inc.   To improve the precision of the statistical analysis additional subyearling Chinook salmon need PIT tags. This purchase shall not exceed $14,560. (07-106)

Authorized an agreement for professional services with Anchor Environmental, LLC regarding Dr. Mike Schiewe as Chairperson of the Wells Habitat Conservation Plan Coordinating and Hatchery Committees. This contract will not to exceed $200,000 and will conclude on December 31, 2009. (07-107)

Approved land use permit for Wells Tract 88. This permit will allow operation of an existing orchard on District property.  (07-108)

Authorized adoption and implementation of workplace harassment policy.  This resolution updates and re-titles the previous sexual harassment policy. (07-109)

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. April 16, 2007 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters building.
