Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the March 26, 2007 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Opened bids submitted for bid document 07-09-D, distribution dock crew. The apparent low bid was received from Hawkeye Construction Inc. of Troutdale, OR. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Opened bids submitted for bid document 06-41-W, generator rebuild for unit refurbishment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The apparent low bid was received from Toshiba International Corporation of Englewood, CO. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Approved a change order to contract 06-15-D, with Asplundh Tree Expert Co. This change order increases the not to exceed limit $100,000. The increase is necessary due to the additional work needed following the January wind storm. (07-88)
Authorized a change order to contract 06-48-D with FWT for Pangborn Substation steel poles for 115kV tap. The change includes additional brackets and will increase the contract $288. (07-89)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 07-14-D, construction of Pangborn Substation. This substation will enhance the reliability of power for customers in the Pangborn Airport area. (07-90)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 07-15-D, communication splicing crew. Communication splicing crews may be needed to meet the 2007 construction goals for the Douglas County Community Network. The agreement contains a provision for a one-year extension. (07-91)
Authorized addendum No. 1 to bid document 07-13-W, Methow Spring Chinook Hatchery Well No. 5 relocation. The pre-bid conference with potential bidders revealed necessary revisions and clarifications to the bid document. (07-92)
Authorized renewal of the Business Travel Insurance with CIGNA. (07-93)
Approved renewal of fiduciary liability insurance with American International Group (AIG). (07-94)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. April 2, 2007 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters building.
