Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the March 12, 2007 Commission meeting held at the Bridgeport office building:

Approved change order No. 1 to the contract with Electrical Safety Consultants International (ESCI). This change order will increase the fees charged by ESCI by 5 percent. (07-76)

Authorized addendum No. 1 to bid document 07-08-D, Rock Island Grade to Palisades underground fiber cable installation.  The pre-bid conference with potential bidders revealed necessary revisions and clarifications to the bid document. This addendum will also extend the bid opening date from March 26, 2007 to April 16, 2007. (07-77)

Authorized renewal of professional services agreement with CanMap Systems to improve and support the electrical distribution mapping and work order system.   This contract will conclude on January 1, 2009.  (07-78)

Approved addendum No. 4 to bid document 06-41-W, generator rebuild for unit refurbishment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project.  The pre-bid conference with potential bidders revealed necessary revisions and clarifications to the commercial and technical provisions of the bid document. (07-79)

Authorized an agreement for professional services with Columbia Basin Environmental for dissolved gas sensor calibration for the Wells Hydroelectric Project.  Periodic maintenance and calibration of dissolved gas sensors is necessary to assure accurate readings.  This contract is not to exceed $18,296. (07-80)

Authorized funding the 2007 Pikeminnow Removal Program for the Wells Hydroelectric Project with Columbia Research of Chelan. This program has removed approximately 134,000 pikeminnow from the Wells Project area since 1995. The contract is not to exceed $125,000 for the 2007 pikeminnow removal program. (07-81)

Declared the District’s water chiller surplus to the District’s needs and authorized sale to The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.  The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has agreed to pay $3,000 for the water chiller.  (07-82)

Revoked Tracy Shrable’s land use permit No. 333B-02.  Mr. Shrable has not supplied the District with the necessary liability insurance certificate.  (07-83) 

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. March 19, 2007 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters building.
