Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the February 20, 2007 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Opened bid submitted for bid document 07-02-D, furnish EPR underground primary cable. The apparent low bid was received from WESCO of Portland, OR. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Authorized acceptance of all work performed by Cascade Cable Constructors, Inc. under the second year of contract 05-03-D, installation of underground primary cable and conduit. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (07-55)
Awarded General Pacific, of Portland, OR, contract 07-01-D, furnish 144 count fiber optic transmission cable. General Pacific, with a bid price of $187,428 (OFS), was the lowest responsive bidder. (07-56)
Approved selection of Minerva Networks to provide the District with Internet protocol television middleware and authorized negotiation of an installation agreement. (07-57)
Authorized S&C Electric Company as the sole source of vault mounted switchgear. S&C Electric Company manufactures the only switchgear that meets all the District’s design criteria. (07-58)
Approved a rate adjustment for the professional services agreement with Electrical Consultants, Inc. This agreement allows for the fee schedule to be negotiated annually to reflect any increase in the cost of doing business. (07-59)
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 07-08-D, Rock Island Grade to Palisades underground fiber cable installation. This installation will allow fiber optic connections to the Palisades Substation as well as provide a new route to the NoaNet Columbia Point of Presence. (07-60)
Approved addendum No. 3 to bid document 06-41-W, generator rebuild for unit refurbishment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The pre-bid conference with potential bidders revealed necessary revisions and clarifications to the bid document. This addendum will extend the bid opening date from March 5, 2007 to March 26, 2007, to give the potential bidders adequate time to prepare their bid. (07-61)
