Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the February 5, 2007 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 07-07-D, installation of underground primary cable and conduit. After evaluating methods to rebuild the existing overhead lines in the Waterville Plateau area or replacing them with underground lines using plowing installation techniques, it was decided that when possible overhead lines should be replaced with plowed underground primary cable to avoid problems that occur when frost accumulates on overhead lines. Approved a temporary amendment of power sales service agreement with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation. This amendment authorizes a one time sale of the Tribe’s power allocation for the period of March 2007 through September 2007. (07-50)
Authorized acceptance and final payment to Hale and Long General Contractors for work preformed under contract 06-36-W, Wells Dam entrance sign. The total cost of the work was $111,058 plus sales tax. (07-51)
Authorized the Mid-Columbia Hourly Coordination 2007 Budget. Grant PUD, acting as Hourly Coordination Central, provides services for the coordination of power generation for the Mid-Columbia PUDs. (07-52)
Approved Amendment No. 1 to agreement for professional services with Devine, Tarbell and Associates, Inc. The scope of services under this agreement includes assisting District staff with the development of relicensing documents and the completion of relicensing studies. This amendment would increase the not to exceed amount by $200,000. (07-53)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. February 12, 2007 at the District’s Bridgeport office.
