Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the January 8, 2007 Commission meeting held at the Bridgeport Office:

Authorized acceptance of item one received from Western States Electric under contract 06-01-D, Dutch Henry modular substations. All work for item one under the contract has been completed, inspected and determined to meet the bid specifications. (07-08)

Awarded contract 06-05-D 10th Street NE pole protection project to Selland Construction, Inc. of Wenatchee.  The total contract price is $17,395. (07-09)

Extended the District’s Bridgeport Headquarters Janitorial Services Agreement with ARE-SEAS Maintenance.  This resolution will extend the terms of the contract through December 31, 2007. (07-10)

Authorized acceptance of a subdivision power facilities agreement for Country Ridge Short Plat. The developer, J&D Builders, Inc., has paid the contribution in aid of construction and provided a secured funds account in the total amount of $15,196. (07-11)

Approved a request for proposals for internet protocol television (IPTV) middleware. Middleware provides the data processing, connectivity and user functionality that makes IPTV work. The District is researching which system best meets its needs. (07-12)

Authorized a professional services agreement with Dr. John Skalski for 2007-2008 for the Wells Hydroelectric Project.  Dr. Skalski will assist with data management, design, review and analysis of environmental and relicensing studies, ongoing analysis of present and future fish tagging studies and posting adult and will publish juvenile salmonid migrational data on the University of Washington DART system. The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. January 15th at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters building.
