Douglas County PUD Commissioners Mike Doneen, Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the December 11, 2006 Commission meeting held at the Bridgeport Office:

Opened bid submitted for bid document 06-42-W, 2007-2008 hatchery well and pump maintenance for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The apparent low bid was received from Irrigation Technology and Control Inc. of East Wenatchee. The bid will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.

Approved the acceptance of all work performed by Pole Maintenance Company working under contract 06-11-D, pole testing and treating.  All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. Douglas PUD will execute the option to extend the contract for an additional one-year period.   (06-277)

Awarded Southern States, LLC. of Pleasanton, CA, contract 06-45-D, Pangborn Substation 115kV disconnect switches. Southern States, with a bid price of $101,032, was the lowest responsive bidder.  (06-278)

Approved a call for bids under bid document 06-51-D, single-phase padmount distribution transformers.  With increased price and long lead times, it is beneficial for the District to purchase a 12-month supply of single-phase padmount transformers. (06-279)

Approved the 2007 Western Electricity Coordinating Council budget.  The District’s portion of the budget is .15% for a cost of $21,764.  (06-280)

Authorized Douglas PUD’s participation in certain line items for the Public Generating Pool budget for 2007.  Douglas PUD shares the cost of the 2007 budget for consulting and other general expenses. (06-281)
